Hi Taylor,
ReplyDeleteI really like that you included the cost into the media alert! I haven't seen that on any other post and it's a creative idea. It's relevant and a key piece of information that everyone would want to know. One thing I would add would be a "visuals" section too, so the media would know what to expect!
Thanks Jenna! I wanted to include factual information in addition to the information I created. The visual section is a great idea, I know I personally understand things better when I see a visual so I'm sure reporters would benefit and appreciate it too!
DeleteGreat job! I really like that you included a start and end date of the exhibit! I agree with Jenna! I didn't think to include cost in mine either! Good thinking! One thing I would include would be a "why" section. I totally forgot that in my post as well, but I learned it is essential for conveying the newsworthiness of the event!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great suggestion! I thought about including a why section but I didn't know how to word it to make it sound newsworthy rather than redundant. I will definitely put that in my next media alert.
DeleteGood job including the cost! That is a great idea and very important to your audience. You answered all of the major questions! One area of improvement is do not include "for immediate release". Years ago this was acceptable, but now journalists know that it is for immediate release, it does not need to be stated.
ReplyDeleteGood Job!
I always struggle with whether or not to include that phrase because it so touch and go depending on the outlet the media alert etc. is sent to. I know in today's society everything is for immediate release given the nature of social media, so I will definitely keep that in mind in the future!
DeleteHi Taylor,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you included the cost, I didn't even think of that! You did a really great job keeping everything simple and to the point, and very organized as well. Great job!
Thanks so much! I tried to incorporate factual information into the information I added as well. I'm glad you liked it!
